The mystery of the apple & labyrinth
This quick painting is inspired by a lucid dream that has kept me mystified for the past few weeks.
I was walking down a street and became lucid, I thought it would be a great chance to find an art gallery to see if my mind would produce any interesting images for me to bring back and paint.
I ended up in a gallery and saw Laurence Caruana (amazing artist check out his work!) He was studying a piece of art made from cloth and wanted to purchase it. It was an apple with a labyrinth inside. Now I know there could be so much to study here but what I haven’t been able to figure out is why 1/4 of the apple was missing!
It may have just been a glitch in my mind or maybe it really has meaning. Maybe a future painting will reveal it’s mystery
